e-Newsletter

Our quarterly e-newsletter, the Real America News, has maintained its strong popularity not only in the Real America region but throughout Europe as well.  Every quarter, news about the region is sent electronically to over 4,200 qualified contacts - both domestic suppliers and international tour operators and journalists - keeping them updated with news about the region and RMI’s marketing activities.  This format has allowed us to increase our distribution and direct readers to our website, ultimately improving communication.

In addition to the Real America News and as part of our ongoing communication efforts, we regularly send out email blasts with information regarding trade shows, advertising and Roundup opportunities. By utilizing some of the latest e-marketing options available, RMI is able to provide greater contact with suppliers in the four-state region and the travel industry in Europe.  We look forward to continually enhancing these offerings, and we encourage you to stay in touch with us as well.

RMI’s regional travel website, www.RMI-RealAmerica.com, has developed into an exceptional resource for travel information on the Rocky Mountain states of Idaho, Montana, South Dakota and Wyoming. 

In addition to English, www.RMI-RealAmerica.com offers German, French, and Italian translations, catering to RMI’s European target market.  Detailed travel information can be found on the Real America states as well as the gateway cities of Chicago, Denver and Minneapolis/St. Paul/Bloomington and marketing partners Rapid City CVB, Visit Cheyenne, Buffalo Bill’s Cody/Yellowstone Country, Mall of America, SWITA, Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce, Hampton Inn Jackson Hole and Yellowstone National Park Lodges (Xanterra). 

The website offers in-depth, day-by-day itineraries to more than a dozen specific travel, cultural, historical and sporting locations throughout the Real America Region. Moreover, visitors can find a wealth of useful travel information, including suggestions on places to stay, things to do, what to wear, and links to tour operators who can get them to the region.  

This year the site recorded 36,935 unique visitor sessions from July 2011 through June 2012, good for a 22% increase over previous year numbers. Average monthly unique visitors totaled just over 3,000 with April and May of 2012 being peak months.

Real America GuideReal America Guide 2013

The latest edition of the Real America Guide, our magazine style publication distributed in our overseas markets, is published every fall by Phoenix International Publishing.  The travel information covering the region contained in the four separate language editions of the guide (English, German, French and Italian) reaches European travel trade professionals and consumers through RMI's five European offices (UK, France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands) at trade and consumer shows, direct requests and through each market’s expanded websites. 

The Real America Guide is the official consumer travel guide for the states of Idaho, Montana, South Dakota and Wyoming and is distributed in the UK, Germany, Benelux, Italy and France.

The main guides are published for the UK and German markets while we have a more condensed version produced specifically for the French and Italian markets.
