What is International Pow Wow?
U.S. Travel Association's International Pow Wow is the travel industry's premier international marketplace, largest generator of Visit USA travel, and the opportunity to network with thousands of fellow travel industry organizations and people.
In just three days of intensive pre-scheduled business appointments, more than 1,000 U.S. travel organizations from every region of the USA (representing all industry category components), and close to 1,200 International and Domestic Buyers from more than 70 countries, conduct business negotiations that result in the generation of over $3.5 billion in future Visit USA travel. At International Pow Wow, buyers and sellers are able to conduct business that would otherwise be generated only through an exhaustive number of around-the-world trips.
Appointments: Unlike most overseas trade shows, there are prescheduled appointments at Pow Wow. There are a total of 44 appointment slots and are pre-scheduled computer-generated according to requests. During the show, RMI and State personnel will be available to make introductions and provide background for the trade and media.
Shared Leads: RMI will provide all participants at Pow Wow with a detailed lead report and executive summary of all meetings that take place at the booth during the show. These leads will be provided to you within 15 days of your return from the show.
RMI attends this important show annually and exhibits with a booth within the Mountain West section along with Idaho, Montana, South Dakota and Wyoming. Attending this show allows RMI to generate trade and media leads for the Real America states on top of what they're doing individually. Given how busy this event is, many tour operators and media choose to meet with RMI in one meeting, rather than scheduling four meetings with the individual states.
When and Where is International Pow Wow?
Alternating between major U.S. cities every year, the 2013 International Pow Wow will be held in Las Vegas, NV June 8-12. The show runs Monday-Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m each day. RMI staff will be available to assist with set-up starting on Sunday, June 9, 2013. Departures are planned for June 13, 2013.
